Most people that order the double shot don’t understand that the milk sits on top and are upset that it isn’t shaken. I get it, when our drink isn’t made correctly especially being a partner we are upset because how hard is it really to just make the drink correctly and not half ass it. You’re not a barista anymore so I think if you felt the need to call, you call. As a shift supervisor, I would def not call of my drink was made wrong but would call to report shitty/rude service.

Making this drink wrong is such a common problem at my store, my manager taped the recipe card to the glass next to the bar. So we always can reference it.
You’re not an asshole, dont even worry

I’ve don’t the same thing. I was headed to work and realized they gave me vanilla syrup instead of sugar free. I called to see if I could get a refund but wouldn’t be in until later. The manager said I’d have a free drink when I came in. Great customer service. If a business messes up, they should fix it. Don’t feel bad at all.

NTA. As much as I hate making the drink cuz I can never remember how it's done (seeing as we only get a few of them). Personally, I'm a non-confrontational person so I probably wouldn't have said anything. But I could see myself doing the same thing. I remade a drink for someone because they didn't like the way it was prepared it's a normal thing. I can only assume that you felt bad about calling because of being a former barista and you know the stress involved in the job. But this is not a dick move, in fact in may be a push that ensures that the baristas know the correct recipe from now on.

I wouldn’t say you’re an asshole. But there must be some reason why you’re bothered at yourself for calling.
Next time you order, head off any problems at the pass and mention the problem you’ve had in the past with the drink.

yes

Youre NTA for wanting your drink made a specific way. We work in a business of customer service, where we serve the customer what they want, which includes making a drink PROPERLY. Its why sbx is considered so much better than other coffee companies aside from having just a big name. BUT, i do agree, if you immediately noticed it was wrong and then DIDNT send it back, thats on you, but i guess youre still entitled for a free drink bc the did make it wrong at the end of the day. If you didnt immediately notice and it wasnt until later, then yeah makes sense. So many baristas are getting unnecessarily rude over it. Just read the card, and make sure u make it right next time. Goodness.

yes, being an ex barista especially fuck you
capgrasdeluded12 points3y ago
Fuck off. They made the drink wrong. The milk goes on top, not stirred in. It's just coffee, make it the right way. 🙄
godsandheroes3 points3y ago
yes, but gravity exists. calling back after the fact saying the coffee and milk mixed together, looks ridiculous. if it was made wrong, just have them to remake it upon handoff.

because you should know the shit you go through with customers, it's just coffee after all. don't make someone feel bad for not knowing you like the drink a particular way.

Wth? The barista made the drink incorrectly
jackissosick-4 points3y ago
That's a very insignificant issue with your coffee. Get no milk and put it in yourself
DragonPuffMagic8 points3y ago
So I'm supposed to keep milk in my car bc the barista can't follow the recipe?
mango_drango4 points3y ago
This is gonna sound rude, but, it’s almost like the store has an inside that you could walk into and order and then add the free milk yourself.
capgrasdeluded5 points3y ago
Lmao. Or the barista could just make the drink right. 🤷🏻♀️
pumpkinsnice1 points3y ago
I mean, considering most Starbucks don’t have anything but half&half available to grab yourself, that means you’d need to go in, wait for the barista to not be busy, then ask for a cup of your milk of choice on the side. Much douchier than just ordering the drink the way you want it
capgrasdeluded6 points3y ago
Oooor the people being paid to make your drink that you're paying for, make it the correct way? How about that?
jackissosick2 points3y ago
All im saying is that i would never send something back that i got at a drive-thru regardless of what was wrong with it and i would never send back anything over something so unbelievably small and insignificant. Who the hell cares?
capgrasdeluded1 points3y ago
I care. I paid money for that drink and I want it made the way I want it made.
