Starbucks Baristas: The daily grind

Thoughts on happy hour and labor cuts? I’m dreading it and if it’s hell I’m gunna walk out with it being understaffed and encourage customers to comment when they do the survey that we need more baristas , customers also see how we struggle and wait time is not fast. Just a thought though (self.starbucksbaristas)

Try doing it with 3 people and one of them doesn’t know how to bar despite being there longer than anyone else 🙃🙃🙃

Honestly like. I like him and all but this guy is just really really stupid, combined with Tarbucks training. It’s like getting a potato with eyes to make drinks

I forgot, he was 10 years in when I started so 13 years. He’s only on the bar in emergencies and 20 minutes max. We have to talk him through drinks when he does help. “Does a cold brew have ice?” “How many pumps of classic do matcha lattes have?” “Does this get whip???” 🙄

Happy hours at my store have been rough.. Just high volume. But my coworkers do great keeping it positive and the shifts always try to help as much as possible.
Also.. Walking out in a busy time and understaffed is kind of a dick move. I'm not trying to put you down. You signed up for this, though. I get that it's rough and hard, and if you can't handle it, talk to a shift or your SM. But walking out when it's busy and understaffed and leaving your partners to deal with it? That's just mean and uncaring.

I totally get it didn’t say I was gunna walk out makes me feel that way but I wouldn’t actually do that it would be a dick move for the rest of my partners I totally get we signed up for this but not 3 partners happy hour with drive it’s crazy. SM she’s a whole different story most of us when will be transferred by the new year so sad. Well that’s good your partners are positive our moral is pretty much over it . One of my fav SL used to be all positive etc and now it’s just let’s get this shit over the best we can .
