Every single shift I have. I always work 8 hours or more and always take my second ten.

My daughter used to work at a sbux and said she got tens every two hours. I was happily looking forward to getting them too when I started as I have back problems and being able to rest a little every once in a while helps. But, no such luck at the store I’m working at. The first time I asked about getting a second ten the shift looked at me like I had lobsters crawling out of my ears.

Depends on state maybe they changed that rule I use too for like my first 5 years at Starbucks the rest it’s a solid 8 hour shift we get another 10 at least where I am. Smh

Nope, not any more, some stores in my area still do it, and depending on how the night goes I’ll give my baristas two 10’s

My old store used to give second tens. My new store does not and I miss them! It may be because MD requires fifteens instead of tens? And with labor cuts, its hard to fit the second round of fifteens in...

we get one ten for 4+ hours, a ten and a half for 6+ hours, a ten, a half, and another ten for 8+ hours, a ten, a half, and two more tens for 10+ hours. i worked one day where i got two halves but idk how long that was, probably 12...?

i think i’ve gotten a second 10 like once. i don’t mind too much though because if i work a longer shift it’s usually at night and i’d rather get stuff done so we can get out sooner.

it differs entirely by state and area within that state. as a shift i give the mandated breaks as well as breaks here and there if my peeps need it. if we're ahead in the night and you've been busting ass trying to get us closed, go ahead and chill for fifteen minutes on your phone, i don't care. but look up labor laws in your state and county. also look at your DCR for the day, as they should be accurately reflected on there.
