Spooked by labor cuts (self.starbucksbaristas)

I'm a new(ish) barista. Does anyone know if our hours will rebound after the cut? I'm dropping from 32 hour/week to barely 20. I'm a little scared for my bills.

I should really read the weekly update. I was unaware of these labor cuts but I was really worried my manager didn’t like me because I went from like 35hr/week to like 20

I didnt realize it was happening either. Seen a few others mention it on here, checked my schedule for the next few weeks and had a big "oh damn" moment

My entire family wants me to get a second job, but when I spoke with my store manager he said that I would lose even more hours. I’ve been a partner for nearly two years (249xxx) and my hours in the 2018 holiday season we’re well over 30-35. This season I scrape by with 12-18hours max and I feel like I have zero options left. Partners who are just starting are receiving more hours than the partners who have been at my store for a year or longer. We’ve all got bills and apartments to pay for but the new baristas are all in high school still, I’m not saying they don’t deserve the same hours that we had or similar, but partners who have been here longer do deserve a little better than how we’re being treated now. It’s not an overcrowding issue for the store either, we’ve lost seven partners in the last five months due to the SFM’s and Labour Cuts at our store.
