When I worked at starbucks we had a guy do this. It was slow and I was curious so I asked him why. Turns out he was making tiramisu and wanted to use our espresso. So not everyone who does this is going to drink it.

That is a really good use if it is. And if it is not, I say more power to them. If you can afford it, go get it.

Although, tiramisu with cold brew would have been better. I may have a small obsession with cold brew even though I never get it at my store because we have to make it every other day to stay in stock and I would feel bad.

I mark out heavy cream if I bake with it :) Also I don’t think you should feel bad about getting cold brew as a partner beverage. You’re entitled to whatever you want. You’re trading your time and manpower in exchange for hourly pay and all the perks that come with being a partner including beverages. Enjoy!

there’s a regular at my store who gets like 30 shots once a month, and keeps them at home to make his own espresso drinks - all i can think of is how bitter they must get

One thing I learned from working at wawa is that if you pull the shots over ice it saves them and stops them from dying, but 30 days is a long time.
