When a guy rages because "his" Mobile Order is wrong... (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by chuckedXpineapple
Please. For the love of all that is holy.

Double-check the order stuck to the cup. Or even the printed order stuck under the cup.

Dude picks up Mobile order. Starts drinking it. Gets a quarter of the way done. Goes raging from Mobile pick-up all the way directly to the drink makers yelling about how he's late to work, how dare they make the order wrong, his drink specified nondairy milk, etc.

Turns out two of the same names ordered iced coffees. One just simply saw his name and grabbed without reading any further, then raged his way to another drink.

Right in the middle of a total onslaught both around the store and out the door. Please people. Be kind. If you're running late, don't blame and take it out on us.

Edit: I stood helpless in drive-thru window as a green bean. Our girl on espresso for dt/mobile got the full brunt of this guy's yelling, and I just can't believe people actually get this way. An old lady chewed me out for her five minute wait, when she was hitting 6 mins as we served her drink despite the onslaught of a rush shortly afterwards.

Peace be with you all my sweet humans.

I’ll ring someone up and tell them there is a wait in the bar because there are 20+ tickets and only two machines and the barista will call out a different name and the customer I just rung out will say “that was supposed to be cold” and I have to say “is that your name on the drink” and they’ll be like “no you spelled it wrong “ 😑😑😑 MAYBE THATS NOT YOUR PEPPERMINT MOCHA BECAUSE YOU ORDERED AN ICED MACCHIATO

I had a woman the other day (she’s a regular & a regular bitch) come back with her mobile order that her friend picked up for her. “This is NOT what I ordered. I ordered a white chocolate Frappuccino w almond milk and no whip.” I double check with my barista on cold bar, “yeah.. that’s what I made.”

(She points to the app.) “well it does not look like the picture.” (Shows me the coffee version.)

Me: because you ordered the cream version.

Her: no I didn’t! This is the one I ordered WITH coffee. She made it WRONG.

I point to her cup and show her where it says CRM.

“I am telling you, this is the cream version. That is why it does not have coffee in it.”

Her: well that isn’t what I ordered.

I make a comment to my coworker: “I don’t know why it printed cream when she ordered coffee. Soooooo weird. It’s never done that before.

I am literally the nicest person in my store. I was nice as fuck while trying to inform her that it is HER mistake and no one else’s.

She texted an old shift supervisor and told her that my barista and I were being “so rude” to her. I even looked it up in the system and it said C.R.M. Exactly what she got made for her. Ugh, bitch.

Omg I love your low-key comment 🤣

Reminds me of when Southerners say "bless her heart."

Imagine mobile ordering, being late, and continuing to stop by your starbucks.

You know you're late, that's your problem for poor time management.

"I GOTTA PUT THIS ON SOMEONE"

THIS IS WRONG!!!

\*in the back of his head, he can say he mobile ordered on time and had to have his drink remade and is slightly late, and can keep from telling his boss what an incompetent idiot he is\*

This is what blows my mind. I've seen at least three TOTAL breakdowns, including sobbing, because they were late and their order took a whole 5-8 minutes, despite seeing the line out the door before even walking in.

Pisses me TF OFFF.

LIKE I COME TO WORK EARLY JUST TO GET A SIP OF COFFEE I OTHERWISE COULD NOT AFFORD TO EVEN HAVE. GET YOURSELF TOGETHER.

I wish the app had some type of dymanic time warning based on how busy a store is at the current time. Like say cafe had a random 20 order, then mobile orders would be alerted that there would be a delay.

Yes yes this

Omg there are very few customers like this at my store BUT every time one comes around he or she leaves devastation in his wake.
All of my partners work super hard and it's a very busy store. I'm thankful for the customers who understand that higher volume sometimes means a wait. And that mistakes do happen sometimes.
