Hate living in an area with a high population of Spanish speakers because grande means “large” in Spanish so it’s always a game of “oh the grande grande or the grande?” 🤨

Yeah this! Instead of “what size?” I’ve made a habit of saying “small, medium, or large for that?”

It’s a couple more words but it rolls off the tongue and it helps people make a quicker choice.

Also it doesn’t let the “wellllll what sizes do you have?” Creep in to slow down my customer engagement cadence.

Honestly fair enough. The name of the drink technically starts with the size. Venti Iced Cappuccino, Tall Pykes Place, etc so for me that's how my brain keeps track of what I'm actually putting into the POS system

Oh my gosh I hate when they do hand gestures because they always gesture the size of a venti and then say the word small(or tall which is worse!) so we’re back at square one.
