I just mark it out after the rush is over

I hate those shift supervisor and store manager go on brake during rush. I don’t understand what their mind thinking. Their brake has higher priority then the store business?

Sometimes its a matter of “go now or you don’t get a break at all” like if someone is scheduled 2-7 at my store on happy hour, when is a good time to send them? Happy hour at my store has a constant line, sometimes people have to go on their break during a rush

Probably different areas different rituals. For those I used to work management take business seriously and customer is the first priority and the barista. The higher position the lower priority to rest. Regarding happy hour people take break before and after the happy hour and completely black out during that time. Still manager stay on floor and barista take break first.

One manager told me: who take the bonus? Me. Who is responsible for budget? Me. It’s the incentive and the pressure to make me work hardest.

I'm gonna get you in the best spot i can get you, and I'm going to make sure my baristas get their breaks first, but I'm definitely taking my 10s and meals. Making 11.32 an hour doesn't earn the customers my starvation and dehydration. If I'm dropping down to a 3 person floor from a 5 person floor in 30 minutes, I've gotta take that meal now, or leave 2 people alone later.
