What should I do next? (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by Save_my_grades
Hi all! Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays.

I’m looking for advice on how to proceed next. I wasn’t sure what subreddit I should’ve posted this to but this seems like a logical place.

So I’ve applied to multiple Starbucks in my location in the past 3 weeks and received no response. An acquaintance of mine also applied but received a response saying they aren’t proceeding with her application (she had no work experience). I haven’t received any updates from any location. I was told that it’s a good thing since they are probably weeding out the applications that they don’t want but I think they haven’t reached my application yet (if that makes sense).

I don’t know what to do. I’m not sure if I should call them and ask about the process of my application or go in store to inquire. But I just feel like they’d be annoyed with me and reject application since I applied online and not in store.

What do you suggest I do now?

Thanks in advance!

after i had applied, i brought my resume with me into the store and asked to speak to the SM so she had a physical copy herself. got a call about a week later to schedule an interview!! introducing yourself in person is always a good way to go so you’re able to let your personality shine and let them know how interested you really are for the job :)

I think it’s definitely a case of store to store, but I got my job by calling a few times and checking up on it so that my name was in the manager’s mind. Good luck!!
