i’m a supervisor , and i tell all my baristas that their health is their first priority. your health and well-being is worth more than a part time job. it’s just a cup of coffee , don’t worry about it ! shit happens

stay home health is important and no matter what you will still be understaffed, which corporate doesn’t care if they understaff you guys let your SM know so someone can cover your shift and I’m sure anyone will want to cover since hours are rare

I’m sure your coworkers and the customers do not want you working if you are actively sick and passing your germs around. It’s actually a violation of the Health Code (at least in my state) to work while experiencing active vomiting or diarrhea. So you’re doing the right thing.

Don't go to work if you're sick. Your team will understand, the customers would understand if they knew, and honestly anyone who gives you grief is someone whose opinion should be disregarded.
