Anyone else feel like management couldn’t care less about your kiosk? I’m in a kroger and it’s like we’re not even worthy of respect around here. I know I can’t be alone, I just wanna hear it from y’all.

breaks are non existent in our kiosk too lmao, if i were to take a break or anyone for that matter we would be so far behind. best of luck to you and your fellow baristas tho

Mine don’t care about SB’s sale promotions and shit.
This end of the year sale hit a snag in Kroger’s (at least my store’s) system and the coffee bags weren’t ringing up as a sale item of any percentage. This older couple bitched, and I mean BITCHED - they threatened to call out state’s attorney general and everything over ‘false advertisement’!- about it to me (I’m the department lead, I wrote the signs), wouldn’t take my word of me following compliance, got the HR manager involved who repeated the exact same thing I had said two minutes prior, and ended up getting our store manager involved who quickly bent over and dropped his pants to let them fuck him over. The manager made me manually change the prices so the coffee is HALF OFF.
I walked in this afternoon and was promptly told by a member of upstairs management that the store manager had our store’s file team go through and mark ALL MY HOLIDAY STUFF AS 50% OFF!!
So no, I don’t think stores actually care about our kiosks. As long as they make money, shits are not given.

They only care about you when they want a cup of water or a cup of ice to pour their other drink into

Absolutelyyyy. Tarbucks here and we always joke how we’re the black sheep of the store because of how hard management just turns a blind eye to any issues we have. It’s incredibly frustrating because nobody really listens when we ask for help and a lot of my team gets discouraged because none of us get recognition in any way. We all kind of just get left on the back burner but at least all of that made our team super close knit haha.

Same! We’re all best buds (for the most part).

i work inside of a grocery store and we got a new manager. he only hit our department with the most hour cuts. there were several occasions where baristas were alone for up to 3 hours. during our peak hours too. even though we’re a small kiosk we’re the nearest starbucks in my town so we get hit with a lot of rushes and a lot of attitudes at that. only upside is we get paid the most and we get good tips.

Oof. Yeah the solo shifts are such a bummer. It was so bad here at one point I was alone for an entire 8hr shift and no break. That was a stiff drink kind of night lol
