I made this account just to respond to this because I am also a rehire. #186***** if that means anything. But seriously, after that long they’re supposed to completely retrain you. It’s not a matter of not knowing how to make drinks, but they’ve added so many things in that time. This includes nitro cold brew, the playbook, blonde espresso etc. if there is any way, ask your manager to put you through the modules. They suck, but they’re super informative, even for us rehires. Your manager should have put you through it anyways, I was a shift and still have to retrain. Be vocal and tell your coworkers you don’t know everything. No shame in needing some help.

Agreed. I'm a 186, which means I've been with the company for 7 years. I just saw a buddy of mine leave, come back a few MONTHS later, and have to go through training all over again. Your modules WILL BE IN YOUR TRAINING FOR YOU TO DO. They're automatically assigned. So someone over there is just ignoring protocol and being a dick.

A fellow 186? Where ya from if you don’t mind asking?? Pleasure to meet ya! Haven’t met another person close to my hire date since I left the company and came back.

I'm in Atlanta, the suburbs. There's a lot of "dark roasters" left around here. Hell, I was trained by a woman whose numbers were only 6 digits long! But we are fading, fast. It's no longer a viable alternative anymore as a company. Where are you from?

Wow that’s insane!! A 6 digit, I couldn’t imagine. Even my old manager was only in the 100’s. But still 7 digit. I’m in nc actually! So not too far!

I was a rehire that came back after 5+ years of being gone and once it became painfully obvious on the 1st day that I was totally out of practice and didn't know what all the new things like clean play was or how the frappucinos were built now, my store manager just had me go back through all the training start to finish. It was an easy refresh, it only took me a few hours to knock out and it helped me catch up on the changes. My store has done a lot of re hire and they tend to know how to deal with this. Rehires that are less than a year are really easy but after a year you need to go through the training again because they change so much all the time.
