Laugh away my friend, you know the feel 😂
pfooty 4 points 3y ago
It’s okay, I did too
captain-slammi 49 points 3y ago
It’s even better when the cs exists but they’re just in the back doing dishes for the next hour when it isn’t needed.
Meinax151 [OP] 10 points 3y ago
You're not wrong! 😂
ColVictory 38 points 3y ago
Our store has decided that a dedicated CS person is unnecessary. Yes, it's every bit as much fun as it sounds.
Meinax151 [OP] 8 points 3y ago
That's..... that's...... I..uh..I...have no words
Kaywin 11 points 3y ago
Currently common at my store, too. They call it “GO Mode.” My manager says that stands for “Growth Opportunity Mode” and that when we hit an $8 average ticket we can *maybe* talk about getting CS back.

Meanwhile I’m often cafe+bar by myself in the front lol (I work at a DT store, so DT usually has the most support and employees in the play.)
MonstrousGiggling 5 points 3y ago
That's some of the most and excuse me but retarded bullshit I have ever heard. Growth opportunity??? Only thing growing would be stress and the desire to quit.
NOTcreative- 8 points 3y ago
GO mode is growth in customer connection opportunity. It is standard and should be utilized across every store and works well when implemented correctly. The idea is to have all partners on the floor and minimize time in the back.

A restock on the floor should happen right before peak along with dedicated overstock space for items we burn through quickly near where they’re needed (extra sleeve of grande hot cups for example). Minimizing partner time spent in the back supports partners more on the floor where they’re needed freeing up partners to focus on making connections and having fun!
Saoirse_Says 1 points 3y ago
Lol when they introduced GO Mode to me I actually couldn't quite believe it. Prepping for a rush that could easily last longer than supplies would last sounded like a recipe for disaster. On the other hand we never had anyone actually doing CS so I guess it was kind of an improvement?

Terrible management
ColVictory 1 points 3y ago
Indeed. Everyone knows it. But the SM is as bad or worse than half the SSVs, and the DM is as bad if not worse than the SM... It's insane.

Fortunately I'm outta here in a week.

Wait y’all don’t love when y’all get sent on a 30 min break while on customer support only to come back and find that there wasn’t customer support running while you were gone so you literally are worse off then when you left
samwbx 7 points 3y ago
Wait... y’all get 30s?!
birdyblair 8 points 3y ago
you don’t??? if you work 6 hours you get a thirty
Meinax151 [OP] 2 points 3y ago
I once refused my 30 for that exact reason
Dantesdeception 19 points 3y ago
I'm always gifted the gift of being CS after there hasnt been any for the last two hours right when I clock in during afternoon peak.
Meinax151 [OP] 10 points 3y ago
SAME! So there's a million and one things to be stocked a million and one dishes to be done ontop of trying to make back ups! Thanks morning crew 👌😂
Seebass_12 4 points 3y ago
This is disgustingly true. Every night we have to go into ‘go mode’ and go without a customer support for three hours.
GaggleGuy 3 points 3y ago
I'm fucking dead bro.
Meinax151 [OP] 1 points 3y ago
Sorry I killed you man, I plead guilty
crowbarboobie 2 points 3y ago
we stop cs at like 11 bc no one wants to do it so everyone just restocks 🤷‍♀️
Meinax151 [OP] 3 points 3y ago
That seems unsustainable, especially if you're busy one partner should always be planted in one position not having to worry about running to the back for cups or syrup because to that takes time that could be used pumping out drinks like some fucking cybarista
crowbarboobie 2 points 3y ago
we slow down massively after 11, and the only times were busy after that were understaffed and cant spare a cs
Meinax151 [OP] 3 points 3y ago
We have very different stores haha my store is usually busy from like 7am until around 3/4pm 😂
crowbarboobie 2 points 3y ago
were busy but were not Busy, if that makes sense. we do a big restock after peak that everyone does and then we can usually get through without having to worry about it for at least a few hours
Michigoose99 1 points 3y ago
Truth. When I'm assigned to mobile handoff + brewing timer in GO mode, everyone just assumes I'm also CS so I literally can't do any of my roles well. It's really confusing and demoralizing
