Don’t get complacent. This job will teach you some amazing and great skills. When you feel you have learned as much as you can, update your resume and start looking for work that will appreciate great customer service and fast work pacing.

I would say to enjoy it and take in as much as you can and the rest will come once you’re out on the floor working. Enjoy the coffee tasting. The quiet moments. Getting to know everyone when they’re on their break. Don’t sweat the small stuffs and don’t worry about getting everything on first try. Have fun. Welcome to the team.

Don’t be afraid to ask other baristas or coworkers for help it may not seem like it but there will always be someone who is eager to help, also don’t take customers words too personally, one bad customer can ruin your entire shift so just ignore it and move on with your day. Just take things slow even during peak, if you rush things of course you will tend to mess up more easily sometimes it helps to avoid looking at the line for too long and just focus on getting drinks out. Work isn’t work until you enjoy so just make the most out of it, aside from the customer service and certain aspect part working at starbucks has probably been one of the jobs at the top of my list
