Trainer problems (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by briannachrisman
Guys I started at Starbucks about a month ago and really haven't worked that many shifts, but so far it seems like my trainer is out to get me. She's so nice to everyone else and they all love her, but she has been so harsh to me. She sticks me on DTO and window, has me get my own food, and usually asks me to do more throughout the day even though I don't know how to do half the stuff here. I don't know if it's me or if I should say something, but I just feel like I don't fit in at all.

Totally say something chicky! Talk to your manager. Just tell her/him you feel some way about your trainer. They should sit with both of you and have a talk

I told her about it and she said they're going to work on being more of a team and I even talked to multiple shifts about it too. It's like she doesn't even realize she's doing it

Oh my goodness ☹️ I'm so sorry. I know what you're talking about though, I've cried there more times in a month (not a quick cry like an actual breakdown) than I have at my other job that I've worked at for 8 months...

That's awesome, I'm proud of you! I hope someday I can start to move up a little but unfortunately, for now, this is just a job

I’m having the exact same thing with my trainer. I dread going to work most days because of her. I’m two months in and I feel so alienated by other partners as well.

I worked ONE NIGHT last night and it was the best shift of my entire life. And she's the only one who doesn't help me at all, which seems to go against what Starbucks is all about :/
