I have a dumb question, why on some occasions does my flat white taste perfect, down to the foam. But so many times whole latte just taste like warm milk no coffee flavor at all? (self.starbucksbaristas)

someone may be forgetting a flat white gets an extra shot?? i doubt that, since it sounds like it has happened a lot of times, but that's a possibility

Potentially calibration? That’s really the only thing I can think of.

Make sure you click those ristretto shots!

Probably bc of how they are made. The milk and espresso mix in a latte as you pour, but not that much.

When you make a flat white the angle you’re pouring from mixes the shots with the milk more.

Eg. The tops of lattes are at most a little tan, but the tops of flat whites are a lighter coffee shade
