At the order box in dt “can I get a grande green iced tea?”

At the window: “Uhm I said I wanted the largest size you have” “you asked for a grande which is a medium” “okay I’ll remake it this time but next time the size you’re looking for is a trenta” “Uhm you’re being really rude!”

I had a girl call and complain about me saying I was being rude to another customer so she didn’t want to complain about her drinks being wrong. Ummm, I literally couldn’t talk because I was so hoarse I wanted to cry. I had originally called out that because I was sick. So my boss has to know something is up with that bullshit story. I hate our customers sometimes. Anything for a free drink.

I won't remake a drink unless they surrender the original drink. That is how I determine if the drink really is off or if they are just trying to scam me.

Offer to remake their drink; they can get a new drink or a recovery card- be sure to tell your manager what happened and DEFINITELY dump their “wrong” drink

i like to dump before i make the new drink, and sometimes people start backpedaling "oh i would have taken that one"

I did but she then had me remake it, and my shift gave her a free drink ticket along with that... some people are so entitled ugh

I had some bitch come through DT the other day and ordered an iced espresso, just a single shot. I handed it to her in the tall cup my partner put it in and moved on. She tells me she ordered a venti (yeah whatever) so I take the tall cup dump it into a venti and add ice. Hand it back move on. I turn around and this bitch is still at the window and has the nerve to ask me "What am I supposed to do with this?" I was begging for my shift to shoot me.

I felt that!!! This lady mobile ordered a tall iced coffee with two shots in a venti cup and then came in 30 minute later like this doesn’t taste right?!?! Like no duh? But I just plaster the retail smile on and I remake it for her and she’s like it’s still not strong enough and shoves it back in my face with the lid still on expecting me to put another shot in there. Usually I would have done it but one it was in the middle of our 8 am peak and I work in soho and even with two experienced baristas we still swim in drinks. And two she was rude and entitled and Stressing me out more than I already was making a calm five drinks at a time. So here I am with at least 15 drinks behind me and this lady who made me remake her drink twice.

And before I can even tell her to take her lid off she says “you know what can you make me something else like a venti iced peppermint mocha with soy and whip cream” and I——

I literally screamed internally. I turned to her and said ma’am I can remake your drink but if you want to exchange it or get a refund your going to have to do that over at register. And this demon lady goes “omg you are the rudest barista I’ve ever met what’s your name let me speak to your manager I’m here every day I order more than 6$ worth of stuff everyday.” Sometimes I literally can not with these customers. If I didn’t love my partners I would have walked off the floor that day and went home. the amount of bs we literally have to take from customers doing the most at minimum wage is too much.

Some dude still owed like $1.62 after using his starbucks app and started putting his hand in the tip jar while saying “I give this place $3000 a year so I think they can help me out”. Luckily my SM was the one taking his order, and forced him to pay up the dollar and change.

(literally while pulling up her starbucks app on her phone. the app that does exactly that.)
