I’m not sure if there’s an actual policy on it. I’m pretty sure it’s the same if someone’s drink is made wrong and there’s just an extra drink. You either ask if they want it or throw it away. It’s more if you want to make more of a connection

That’s a good point! I’m more inclined to be chatty or extra polite to regulars honestly so I could probably work on trying to be more connective to unfamiliar customers. She just got so mad so quickly that my response was to not give it to her out of spite 😂

>I probably would have given her the extra...I too work in a licensed Sbux in a grocery store. We are in a coastal community with lots of retirees. What really gets me are all the kids (yes, we still have them too) order trenta refreshers and no ice. I really want to make them standard and handoff half full.

If you’ve got that much extra Frappuccino you’re probably putting too much ice in, and it’s probably watery anyway. If you’ve already confirmed you’re adding any extra shots before the milk.

If she comes back, skimp on the ice. If there’s a gap fill with whip. They’re paying for milk and flavor not ice.

If it is a matter of product, always give it. Customers by default are over paying. Only when direct cash in involved that you need to think about it. Even recovery cards are given out like candy, because starbs isn't losing cash, just product that is worth pennies

If a drink is made to standard there should never be extra product. If they add a bunch of shots or modifiers they pay for they should get the extra if they ask for it. They’re paying for it.
