I’ve worked at Starbucks for 6 months now , I’m getting the hand of everything , I’d say I’m a really good barista, my drink standards are good . The on thing I struggle with is how to handle a rush “ON DRINKS”, drive thru I’m perfect at handling a rush or on CBS , it’s literally just on bar . I am into the routine of milk, shots , syrups etc . I’m just not going very fast .. any tips ?

idk if anyone else is like this but I don’t think when I’m on bar. I don’t second guess myself, don’t question a muscle movement. Just have confidence in what you’re doing. My ASM said I got a lot faster when I was more confident. You know the standard, you know what to do. If you mess up? it’s just coffee. You’re doing great. Keep asking for time on bar, get at least 5-8 hrs a week on it. You’ll be solo bar during a Sunday lunch rush in no time. Hope this helped

This is hard but try to listen ahead for DT calls and you can plan out your shots and milk more efficiently. Idk if it’s just my stores machines but we only queue shots on 2 and just move the cup/ catch the other shot cuz any other button causes our machines to not calibrate. It’s like seconds faster but on DT bar seconds matter ;p I hope this helped

We only do 2,4. I just use the shot glasses for the extra shots on another bar
