Here I am, waiting for my morning iced quad at my local Starbucks(not the one I work at). I usually just add half and half to it & go on my merry way. When I went to pour the half and half, it was pretty much empty. Conveniently, there’s a evidently annoyed Karen waiting for the half and half. I saw that the store I was at had a small rush of people so I waited, got some ones attention, asked for some more half and half & did what any normal functioning human would do in this situation & waited patiently. A minute or so goes by, there’s a line of drinks, I’m still waiting patiently & here comes Karen huffing and puffing. She practically YELLS over the bar at the barista I asked for half and half saying “excuse me can you please hurry up. This girl asked for half and half and there’s more people waiting for it. My cars double parked and I don’t have time to wait”. The barista stops mid drink & evidently looks kind of embarrassed or upset. Then Karen has the nerve to turn to me and say “sorry, some times you have to be aggressive with them. They just stand around and do nothing most of the time.”

At this point I turned to the angry Karen and said “no, you don’t have to be aggressive. it’s busy in here. That girl is obviously drowning in drinks. If you don’t have the time to wait, you shouldn’t have stopped for coffee. And don’t say sorry to me, you should be sorry that you think your time is more important than anyone else’s.” Karen looked soooo appalled that anyone would speak to her like that. She got what she deserved. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

It felt so good to stand up to a Karen, you guys have no idea.
