And then they wanna argue with you that it isn't 😑 and then proceed to ask if they just ordered the shots and poured their own milk at the condiment bar, "would still be the same...?"

So I’m as against cheating the system as anyone else is but this one I’m pretty okay with?

Maybe it has to do with how I make it though. If someone orders espresso over ice I put the ice in first, then when it’s done swirl it around to melt the ice so I can then fill it with ice to the top. Then I’d add the milk before swirling it again so they can stick a straw into it. At that point their drink is super watered down, couldn’t possibly contain significantly more than four ounces of milk and I’d rather just give that to them then have them add their own milk or half and half at the condiment bar.

I mean if that’s how they like their drink then more power to them but it’s a terrible watery excuse for a latte that’s heavy on the ice and light on milk and if they’re trying to be cheap and cheat the system I feel like they’re getting what they paid for. But maybe other people do this differently than me and it ends up more latte like?

G O D. absolutely incredible. there was this family that used to regularly call our store or come through the drive thru and angrily proclaim we messed up their order of four venti vanilla beans with extra-extra caramel drizzle and two cheese danishes. because, you know, those are so susceptible to being made wrong. 🙄 they would try to trick us by having a different family member call each time, but obviously we knew it was them. thank god they stopped trying after the millionth time of being told that without any proof of purchase we weren't going to remake the order. they were always super rude about it too. -_-

I had a similar one to that. Two people were trying to order americanos, but they wanted steamed milk instead of water. And when I tried to explain the difference between a latte and an americano they just kept arguing with me :(
