Hey I was wondering if Starbucks hires highschoolers? (self.starbucksbaristas)

I have a target really close to me with a Starbucks connected and I was wondering if they’d hire a high schooler.

Corporate Starbucks hire kids as young as 16, but if this Starbucks is in a Target, its likely that it is a licensed location. That means that it is run by Target and not Starbucks, meaning Target would be your employer. I would give them a call and ask what the age requirements to work at Target are!

We have two high schoolers working at my tarbux right now so yes. But it's gonna depend on what your availability is and what they need. If they need someone for daytime shifts you're probably not gonna get it.

The minimum age to work at Starbucks is 16. I'm a 17 year old barista that started when I was 16. I'm not sure if the rules are the same for retail stores (ones in other stores) but its worth a shot!

We have high schoolers at our Starbucks. They mainly do weekends. Probably about 8-12 hours a week. On occasion they do a 4-8 shift during the week.
