Today was my first day opening and I already goofed up (self.starbucksbaristas)

So my tired brain goofed. A customer came up and asked, "may I trouble you for a stopper?". I wanted to respond with "it's no trouble at all" but instead I just said, "no 😁".

She was an absolutely awesome person and knew exactly what I meant to say. I'm so thankful that she wasn't mean 😭

I love when customers laugh at human mistakes. I had a girl order something and messed up the words and we both kind of chuckled and then I immediately did the same thing and she goes, “HAH! Now we BOTH messed up!!!! We are EVEN!” And I was so taken aback and delighted by her silliness, it still makes my day a month later.

Whenever someone asks if they can add something on after they pay I always say "absolutely not it's way too late" and then say I'm kidding and it hasn't gotten a bad reaction yet.

I had a customer ask for a white mocha yesterday, and when I reached fur a hot cup he quickly clarified he meant iced. I said "how rude" in a silly haughty voice as I put the cup back and grabbed ab iced one instead and he laughed at me. I love customers with a sense of humor.
