Switching Starbucks - BC to Alberta (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by yahskween
(posted in r/Starbucks as well) So I worked at Starbucks in 2017 and had an AWFUL experience. My manager would talk shit about team members over the head sets, harrased my coworker who was on the spectrum, and was in general just freaking awful. (I reported her to the Starbucks ethics hotline and nothing was done.) I'm moving from BC to Calgary this spring, and noticed that in Calgary the benefits at Starbucks are way better and I'd be willing to give it another try. Here's the thing - do I let them know I've worked at Starbucks before, so they know I have experience and risk them calling my old Starbucks and have my old manager talking shit about me? Or do I just not say anything at all to the potential store in Calgary? Help!
