I got scheduled for 16 hours next week. How the hell am I supposed to pay my rent? (self.starbucksbaristas)

Guys, these hours cuts are really starting to get to me. The worst part is I have to stay with Starbucks for the health insurance. Plus I’m pretty sure my boss doesn’t like me. I have 2 jobs and I don’t know how I’m going to pay my bills. I’m so stressed out. But I can’t leave and my doctor says I can’t get a 3rd job or I’ll get sick again. I’m screwed. Think I can get on fold stamps?

Report any retaliation to partner resources otherwise call around for hours. If a SM retaliates in any form it's grounds for dismissal, you need to have notes as to how.

If you've been a partner for more than 3 months you can cover shifts at other stores. If you need hours, I would go to all the Starbucks in the area and give them your info so you can cover some other shifts at other locations.

Only been a partner for a month and a half. I worked licenced stores for a year and a half but I diddnt get any experience pay for it.

Honestly as long as you are a competent barista, you can work at other stores and it sounds like you have prior experience so sounds like you got that covered... I would also ask the supervisors if there are any shift coverage groups for your district/area

Our store is having labor cut because even though we are the busiest store in our area, they are counting cold brew sales as the same as hot coffee. It takes forever to brew toddy's for cold brew, but let's just go ahead and count it as the same as hot coffee so we can cut labor.

Then you should report all short comings of the location to the sm first and if you don't feel the DM is competent then to partner resources. The first three months of the year are the slowest which hour shortage is a given though if partners that do not perform are receiving them, you should speak up and ask why? Especially if they violated standards regularly and push for disciplinary action!! The company is so anti disciplinary action unless pushed in violations which you can report the SM for not following!
