So this is a pet peeve of mine and also I hate to see partner getting injured trying to lift bags with the grounds in it. I always advise people to first put a doubled trash bag on the ground, then gently tip the toddy over and as you tip, make sure to envelop the toddy opening with the trash bag then fully tilt until the grounds are in the trash bag. Then simply lift the toddy away and close your trash bag. Then you can clean the toddy how you would Curtis. Hope this helps.

I tip the toddy into the trash can. never lift it by the filter, it will break.

We put 2 bags on the whole toddy and then flip it over by grabbing the nozzle and the opposite side. We also got a riser that goes inside the toddy and it drains more of the cold brew so it has gotten a little lighter to flip over.

I just pick the toddy up and tilt it so the grounds and filter fall into an empty trash can. No use in picking up the filter, just dump it out

I just put a garbage bag over the whole toddy, we have a green compost bin so I use the green compost bag, put the bag over the entire thing (I do this on the ground) then slowly tip the whole thing over, and giggle the toddy up and out of the bag. The filter creates a kind of suction but a few good giggles gets it free.
