Customers love to overshare (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by [deleted]
I asked a lady how she was doing today and she responded, straight faced and everything, with:

“I’m doing alright, I’ve been better. Ya know, I just came back from the doctors and apparently I have some STDs. Some advice, always make him wrap it.”

I didn’t know how to respond, though my first thought was “well I’m a lesbian so Wrapping it wouldn’t be the issue” (always get tested with new intimate partners) but then my shift saved me by kinda awkwardly telling me to go on my ten.

I asked a customer in dt how her day was going once and she said “just got a mammogram, I’m hoping everything is ok”. Like what am I supposed to say “damn best of luck”?

A regular of mine told me about her sexual adventures with her new boyfriend. This was only several months after her husband had passed. Prior to that, she had also found out her husband had a boyfriend on the side. Everybody at my store actively avoids small talk with her or just in general, avoids her entirely.

I had some lady tell me she was on her way to the doctor’s because her daughter was getting a boob job lmao

It’s less likely, but you can still get STI’s from oral!

Use dental dams (or get tested regularly and have a lot of faith in your partners, I guess)!

Edit: typo

So true! I’m in a long term relationship and don’t have to worry too much but this is great advice for anyone!
