The clean play section of the DRB is a guideline not a strict procedure. If you follow it exactly you probably won't get everything done. You have to adapt it based on your store.

Realize that half of what you do will be trashed during peak the next day. So don't be precious about making it perfect, but still make it clean.

I like to focus on the most disruptive things, like taking apart the chill wall and pastry case to get all the dust and crumbs in there.

Don't stay late. Make a note about anything you didn't get done in the DRB to say there was no time. SMs need to see that so they can make the call to invest more labor to get it done, adjust CSR, or just tolerate it not getting done every week.
