Okay, I have a problem with this. The barista wasn’t even filmed and even more over, its not as annoying/invasive/rude as some other videos I’ve seen. I understand your point (as there are some videos that push the limits of comfortability), but this isn’t one of them. I go to this Starbucks everyday and the baristas there are wonderful and have seemed to enjoy the reaction from customers.

Edit: I don’t disagree that Ellen could have supported us baristas by showing her support, by the way. I simply dont agree that this video was disrespectful. For once, the barista actually wasn’t on display like other videos have done.

Edit2: I hope this doesn’t come off the wrong way, I don’t want to start any issues. I just wanted to put my 2 cents out there. Have a great das, friends. :-)

Film the baristas like they're dancing monkeys! Win x amount of money while the baristas who willingly/unwillingly feature in your dumb video and gets you on Ellen in the first place gets nothing!

Also this wouldn't be starting a pay it forward chain for the right reasons but whatever.

Like not even a shout out to the barista or anything???? Seriously Ellen???

I would ask if Ellen is really this out of touch but yeah, she probably is. It's borderline degrading.

Okay off topic but was anyone else perfectly fine after getting there wisdom teeth taken out? The only thing the laughing gas or whatever it was just made me smile a bit before going under for the surgery...after I was completely normal. I wasn’t loopy at all.

Some people get put out completely, not just laughing gas. I had to, since my teeth started pushing INTO my jaw bone and it got infected (oops! I have a high pain tolerance so I just ignored the pain till it got to that level.) Also people with really good insurance or a lot of money just get put out so they don't have to experience being uncomfortable.

I was mostly fine though after coming out of anesthesia, but I heard that's a genetic factor and some people just don't get the loopy aftermath. I was able to schedule my follow up, and take notes for care as soon as I woke up but I did feel really REALLY weird even as my mom drove me home and for the rest of the day really. My sister also needed anesthesia and on the other hand... Was probably worse than the girl in the video after her wisdom teeth lol.

I think I was given laughing gas just right before being put under to calm me down. Because I was given some sort of fluid in my arm that knocked me out. And they had to dig two of the teeth out. I still didn’t feel loopy or anything. Not like with other more invasive surgery.
