I usually just mobile order to stores to avoid this; you can input your partner numbers and it’ll apply the discount when you mobile order. However if you try to have a barista scan your app to apply your numbers it won’t work without your partner card. That’s at least what I’ve been told. So I also have to give my numbers and then pay on the app separately if I don’t mobile order, so I continue to mobile order to avoid that.. I’ve been at Starbucks for a year and was never given a partner card, just told that I could get one online if I cared to. That’s everything that I know though so I hope that helps!

I connected my partner numbers with my mobile app on the computer.
Yes, if you do a complete mobile order it automatically applies the discount.
The discount is not applied automatically when you purchase in the store and scan your app. But if you ask them to push the “Partner Discount” button it shows up. It pulls the partner numbers automatically from my app. They don’t have to type in the numbers.
Here are the instructions for how I added my partner numbers to my app. https://mypartnerinfo-ext.starbucks.com/partnerportal(bD1lbiZjPTcwMA==)/Partner_Card_ENG.htm
you will need your Global username and password to do this, and you’ll need to do it on a desktop computer. Or, if you are good at working with your cell phone, you can “view as desktop” and get through it that way.
I’ve heard other people say the same thing, that they can’t get their partner discount to apply automatically despite it working on mobile. I’ve also seen other partners that have it work the same way mine does.
The only thing I can think of, is when I was hired, I set up an entirely new app login account and then set up and added my Starbucks Partner Card as shown in the link. It’s basically like adding a gift card to your app, but you have to go on the Starbucks website to get your partner card numbers and pin.
