Does anyone have ideas for dealing with volume on mic verses volume to hear others? We have a drive thru that is on a hill, and my voice apparently echoes loud to the customer. However, it can be challenging to hear the customer if I turn my volume down, and they are distracted, mouth turned away from screen, mumbling etc. Could I place something on my mic to muffle or lower my volume, yet still hear others? Plus it gets loud inside the store. thanks.

Adjusting the volume on your headset should not affect the mic. Whether it’s all the way up or down, the only thing changing the sound of your voice is the position of the mic in relation to your mouth and how loud you’re actually speaking.

When I hear myself echo back in my headset I move the mic piece down so it sits below my mouth and I’m not speaking directly into it. It picks up sound quite well, so despite it being loud in the store, you shouldn’t have to project for the customer to hear you outside.

The echo is weird. Sometimes it doesnt matter how far away the mic is from my mouth. I can hear it echoing on the other side. Maybe it has to do with the car and how close it is to the box so the sound reverbs? Idk
