I’m sure we all have them (share your story because I’d really love to hear it) and my first day I heard about this particular customer.
I was told that he was an older gentleman that comes in for coffee everyday, in the same cup, asking for the same simple thing. He was a regular and everyone loved him. The part that makes it (kind of) strange is that he talks to the female baristas to find out if they have pepper spray. If he finds out you don’t, he’ll come in the next day and give you some. I’ve also heard that there’s a story he tells you when he gives it to you. Again, it’s actually kind of sweet, but definitely not something ordinary.
And if you’re wondering, yes I’ve met him, but no I haven’t gotten any pepper spray yet. My coworkers are certain I’ll get some soon, though.😅

It’s better than having a regular at my store who thinks this is a bikini espresso and creepily talks to us girls and winks at me. What’s worse is that he’s old asf

Oh gosh, I’m sorry you have to deal with that. It’s unfair for any worker to be subjected to that kind of gross behavior. :(

I have a doctor that comes in every weekend for triple blonds espresso and he overheard my co worker and I talking about my pcos so he always talks to me about carbs and stuff lol

Definitely weird, but I’m sure he just thinks he’s helping. Customers can be strange (and nosey) sometimes. 🤨

There's a guy that gets an extra hot peppermint mocha year round and he has an adorable country accent and is quite sheepish, only weird thing is he forgets what drink he wants and we have to remind him every day

We have a regular who rides the same bus as me. He’s just a super sweet old Italian man and he lets our baristas practice their Spanish with him. I don’t know any but I love yelling his name when he walks in. He’s always curled in on himself and quiet but he smiles when he hears it ❤️❤️❤️

Theres a tiny tax office in our shopping center and the older gentleman who works there comes for 5-6 short cups of pike a day. He won't order a bigger size because he "likes to walk over every 30 mins or so and see a smiling face". He leaves a dollar in the tip jar every trip and is genuinely the nicest person I've ever met.

We have an older gentleman who comes in or goes through drive thru every day and orders a grande dark and each day he makes up a new song to serenade whoever is on drive thru or register... usually it’s about how baristas make his whole day better because they give him coffee. He’s always smiling and I’m gonna miss his cheesy songs when I go to my new store.
