Has anyone gone from a licensed store to a corporate store? (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by AuntieLux
At the moment, I run the Starbucks kiosk in a store and the store itself has absolutely no respect for the kiosk and they’ll make discussions about us or for us and not tell us until it’s already put into play and we fucked up. I honestly love working in my kiosk but the amount of disrespect is making me want to leave but I still want to work in Starbucks. Has anyone jumped from license to corporate?

I have! Corporate is very different from licensed in my experience, I had worked at a college campus licensed Starbucks before. I really prefer corporate though, because it’s much more structured and standardized (turns out there were a lot of things we made wrong at the licensed one) + benefits

Yes, and corporate is so much better. The main difference is in benefits available in my opinion, which is like half the reason people stick with this job.

Yes I worked inside a target and management was so disrespectful :/ hardly scheduling anyone to work despite us being just as busy as a normal Starbucks. They’d also be annoying as hell when I would be working on my open by asking me to make them drinks lmfao. One time a manager had me make her a drink in the middle of my open AND turn on my register so She could make a payment on her credit card. Also they’d drag us to the front to back up and if we said no wed get in trouble even though we were busy as well and only had two people. Right before I quit they asked to take one of us to the front ( we were busy) and I said no. I was so done and they tried three times telling me I better have a reason why I’m saying no and I basically said I’m feeling a little too headstrong right now so I’m not giving them a barista and if you don’t like that then too bad. Thinking about it now makes me angry.
