Rant - I’m sick but gotta go in (self.starbucksbaristas)

I have an 8am shift. I called at 4 and croaked out that I’ve got a fever and sore throat. Shift told me to come in and then hung up. I’m so ready to quit. We’re near a medical campus and I’m about to infect all the doctors with my sickness. Cool.

That is definitely against policy and health code-i literally JUST did that module while training a new partner. Contact partner resources.

Call partner resources! That’s not okay!!! No matter when you call out it’s no your responsibility to find any coverage. Also working in food especially while sick is a huge no no.

I had this happen to me once, i went in only to be told to go home. Honestly i think they thought i was faking.
