Goodbye sweet prince </3 (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by DecafinatedSiren
Been lurking on this page for years finally posting. Ssv here and today is my last day. Spent 9 years of my life at the siren with very little to show for it. Off to a better paying bank teller job with weekends and holidays off and finally some room to grow. Unless you kiss your sms ass in my district there isn't a frozen chance in hell to get promoted to asm. Unfortunately, because I really love all that this company stands for I just wish they would compensate their employees fairly, and not with gimicky filler either ( my new job also has the same benefits such as school and counseling etc.) While this may come off as bitter I've never brought this to work I've always tried my best to stay positive in every situation no matter how ridiculous. Sadly while today is my last day it doesn't really make a difference nobody at my new store cares (I transferred about 3 months ago.) Just sad I couldn't have left at my old store because at least then there would be some kind of send off instead of going out casually like a fart to the wind. End rant. Thanks for listening, you guys have helped me through some rough times. Just know no matter how trapped you feel at this job there is always another better way to turn a buck. <3 #2019873 signing off

Understandable. I’m at 7 corporate and I’m not sure how much longer I’m gonna make it. It’s getting rough.

Good luck!

Hey Honestly good on you though, better you leave then them separate you, I was recently Separated and let me tell you I put so much in to this company and I loved working there with all of my heart, I still get visibly upset going in to one of the stores I've helped or seeing barista's I've trained, it's just honestly heart breaking. I really wanted to move up and pursue something further with the company and I just didn't see it happening ever. I hope that you go further in this job and you get treated better. Best of wishes to you my dude.
