Advice for wage negotiation? (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by KittyTittyCommitee
I’m getting promoted to a shift lead soon, and have an appointment with my DM to discuss a wage negotiation, and would like any advice. I have never negotiated for wages before, and was wondering if anyone had any solid tips.

I’ve only been with Starbucks since last summer, but I have 9 years of leadership/management experience, I was awarded partner of the quarter for my first quarter with the company, I’ve barrowed and become familiar with 5 stores and their teams/customers, on top of my own store, and I am fluent in Spanish. These are the four points I plan to use as reasons I feel entitled to a couple more dollars than the base pay for a brand new shift lead.

Any advice is welcome, I’m pretty intimidated since I’ve never had a one on one discussion with my DM before. Thanks in advance!

If you look it up on google it will pop up, her icon is an illustration of a women with red hair and green shirt. She answers questions about how to deal with stuff at work and posts a ton of resources on how to interview, ask for raises, write cover letters and stuff like that
