Okay but this is perfect. Ever since we have had one of our mainly closers opening now, things have been getting done every day that weren’t done before. Every morning task and bars are started by 2! It’s a thing that our new sm wanted to change (making the tasks between day parts more even) but still wasn’t being done until the closer became the opener. And this is no offense to openers or other day parts because I work both... but some people just don’t know all the tasks that need to be done for close to have a successful open.

My point exactly! I'm strictly a closer and whenever o come in at 2 I'd say 8/10 times nothing is done! And I have to run breakdown and be support. And I'd like to say no offense to open crew but they have the audacity to blame anything and everything on us closers and our manager believes them so we're always treated like children when we literally do more to make sure the store is set for the AM than morning ever does to try and help us have a good close. The classic struggle of Morning vs Night Crew 😂

I ran an opening shift the other day and got all of my admin tasks done ASAP to tackle cleaning and everyone was shook. Midday tasks feature a lot of cleaning, surprise!

We have a running joke at our store with our late shift baristas who mostly close/pre-close whenever they come in before 1pm they’ll go “Alright time to break down cold bar 😈” noon, 10am, 8am, doesn’t matter-it’s time to break down cold bar 😂
