It's a morning shift. My boss just wants someone there early as possible. Even if it's like 7AM. Slide in those DM's.

If it’s out of district don’t forget it has to go thru the district managers not your managers.

My boss knows the district manager very well! He'd def go through him! He's done it before. The DM was in my store last weekend.

Well I would hope he knew him very well. It’s his boss. Lol. I’m just saying not just your dm but the person who is covering your shift has to be in your district and BOTH dms have to agree it’s okay if it’s not. Which means you need the person covering you to get their dms attention and you would contact your dm and work it out that way.
I’m a 7 year partner and have worked out of state, out of district. Just looking out and don’t want you to get in trouble if you didn’t know the additional steps for finding someone to cover thru reddit

I'm not sure I think it's just easier in a place like NYC. All the DM'S here have meetings once a week and are in contact all the time. It's pretty usual to have partners in Queens cover in Manhattan and stuff like that. So that's really all I know.

That’s how it is at every store. I’m from Chicago and the suburbs and with all three managers all complete different districts they all do that lol.
