Have you contacted your district manager about the issues your store is facing, if you have and still nothing has been done then escalate it. Your store should not be open if there is not proper plumbing that is a health code violation.

The DM knows all about and doesn't care that we are all crying in our own filth every day. After all HE doesn't have to work here and he doesn't even provide his business cards to give to complaining customers. Thanks for your opinion! I agree, if we can't uphold starbucks standards then at least by law we are required to uphold health code standards.

Then you should definitely call the PCC

As others have said, very much not okay. If you have drains that back up (cant be used) you are supposed to shut down immediately. It's a clear health violation. Screw your DM. They should get in serious trouble for allowing you guys to open.

Someone needs to call that in ASAP. There are so many things wrong with this I don’t know where to start, your DM can shove it. Starbucks aren’t franchises where the money comes out of his pocket...he just wants his numbers to loom good, there are emergency lines for a reason. We call for a clogged sink and the local maintenance contact has someone in within hours. There’s going to be bigger problems if items are not sanitized properly and people start getting sick...especially if your being left without a SM. If your not a SSV have them call...one should have called already. I’m sorry...you shouldn’t have to work like that.

That's my hesitation though... i'm not a SSV. I don't understand why the other partners and SSVs (all excellent , especially the shifts who have great leadership skills) have let it go on this long . I mean if everyone else is willing to work through it and hope it is fixed soon \*though no word on when from our DM\*, then I'm hesitant to start a firestorm and shut our store down. I'm a rehire (125\*\*\*\*\* is my partner number) but in 7 years I've never called PCC

SM here. Call PCC as well as the Ethics Hotline. Have other Baristas join in as well. If they shut the store down, the company helps baristas keep hours by setting them up in nearby cafes for hours. So please don't worry so much about that.

As the company has made commitments to no defer necessary repairs. It's sounds like you have a shitty SM and DM.

Best of luck

This is not ok. For you or customers. Not ok at all.

Oh the customers are livid. We're not a DT so we have a lot of super nice regulars who know our DM. But it's like he's withholding his contact info? If he won't give out business cards then I'm not giving out his number from the contact list on the back desk. And actually I want to tell the regulars that their steaming pitchers have milk residue on them and none of the small wares have been heat sanitized and we can't even wash our hands as usual. UGH why is this company so screwed up, it's either get shut down or serve unsanitary products to our customers, I'm so frustrated!

Ya I’d call PCC for sure that’s not okay at all

Better take care of it before someone calls OSHA on that store
