I’ll start by saying this-I’m partially deaf in one ear from a car accident, and wearing our headsets don’t make it better, but somehow I’m always on window.
Today, this woman came up to the box, tried to order a Butterscotch Frap, and when I told her it wasn’t made with espresso(she asked if it was), but frap roast, she got mad, yelled out a regular drip, and literally burned fucking rubber turning the corner.
At the window she gave me a death glare and when I was running her card, I started to greet another order. I barely heard her say something, stuck my head out of the window, and politely asked her to repeat herself. “bitch I said get me a stir stick.”
I told her I was partially deaf, handed her her stir stick, she peeled out, and I literally started crying the register.
I’ve been a partner for 5 years. I’ve never done this.
I pray a customer reads this, even though this sub is for us coffee slaves:
You have ZERO idea how your behavior effects us. We serve coffee. We dont cure cancer. And even then, would you yell at your oncologist to give you another round of chemo? Would you yell at your mother or father, and call them a bitch?
Just because I wear an apron. That does not mean that you get the right to treat me like a second class servant. And to make it worse, I’m sure she called customer support, bitched about me, got a nice big gift card, and a slew of apologies. Meanwhile I’m still feeling like shit.
