My sm was filling tea pitchers and didn't realize one of the nozzle was open and the hot water spilled INSIDE her boots. She had blisters like that for a week lol. It happens to all of us! Even veterans! Haha

our store has adapted to the short black rain boot look. it’s the unspoken official shoe of our store, and it’s saved my life lots of times.
regzm4 points3y ago
could you maybe....... link me ....... to said rainboots that everyone at your store owns ....
here ya go. honestly the best work shoes. and still cute so you can give em a little wipey wipey at home and wear them as a normal human to do human things
regzm3 points3y ago
are they comfy? i have super high arches and my feet hurt at work super easily
different_as_can_be5 points3y ago
ya know, they’re not the comfiest for 8+ hour shifts but otherwise they’re not the worst. a lot of my friends put insoles in them to help and they don’t complain!

i just wear doc martens and they have protected me from many hot liquids and dirty mop water!!! it’s my fav thing at the end of shift i grab a sani rag and wipe my boys down

Bistro crocs or shoesforcrews are good options

One reason I wear leather hiking boots. Also for the ankle support and comfortable soles.

Yes I have ugly feet, don’t @ me.
Spilled an extra hot steamed milk on me today. 😬

The majority of my store has invested in Doc Martens, which I highly recommend.

I wear my waterproof Timbs for this exact reason! The amount of times I’ve spilled stuff on my feet is Too Damn High.

What kind of shoes were you wearing?
SirenGreenBean [OP]2 points3y ago
The absolutely wrong kind lol. Nah but they were some dr scholls worker shoes I got at famous footwear. They’re non slip for oil and water, just not water proof.
Kimbo1852 points3y ago
Aw that’s too bad, because your wearing what your supposed to and I’ve definitely worn ones like that too. I hope it gets better for you.

I actually think what happened was I was wearing skinny jeans and the coffee went behind the tongue of the shoe and directly onto my sock. Otherwise I think I’d have had a bigger/more blisters.
And no, they weren’t water proof so tech not appropriate for it. Live and learn 🤷🏻♀️ I touched the oven my second week of training so... i am not a bright green bean.

Oh no! Haha some are more clumsy than others. I always get scratched or banged up by different things there, especially the milk fridge racks. I remember a girl who was allergic to the sanitizer and would get blisters from it, like what a painful existence. :(
