Insurance help plz (VSP vision benefits) (self.starbucksbaristas)

Hello all, green bean here.
I was officially eligible to use my insurance benefits on February 1st. I went to my local glasses shop for an exam and to pick out my glasses, and the receptionist was told me she couldn’t find my insurance because VSP does things not hold records with your Social Security and Birthday, but by a member I.D. number. I have an account on the VSP website, on which I can view my account, benefits, and membership card, but nowhere is this “member I.D. number” able to be found. Does anyone have any advice or stories similar to this?

I believe the member Id number should be on your membership card, however still call to check with your provider in case it's an issue on their part

I have scrutinized the card and it is not there. I have called the VSP member helpline and the number is “not available in my area”.

That's confusing, did you try the partner helpline, since you got the insurance through sbux they should help, especially since you're paying for an insurance that isnt working for you
