I had a customer today who mobile ordered ONE DRINK during peak. That’s fine. But what isn’t fine is that we had someone training on cafe bar, who was frustrating our extremely talented barista on drive bar. The customer ended up waiting about four minutes in the drive thru (from speaker to window). I handed him his drink and instead of saying “thank you” he said “hey wanna make a deal?” I said “sure.” He says “mobile order is supposed to be fast right? This today was the opposite. So let’s make a deal that it’ll be fast next time, alright?” And I just have NOTHING to say to him. After maybe three long seconds I’m like “okay. Maybe try coming in next time? See you tomorrow.” And I close the window.

I really wish we could tell assholes like this to go fuck themselves.

what a shithead. mobile order is NOT inherently supposed to be fast especially when you come through drive!! does he think mobiles go to the front of the queue? what a jackass, you're a champ for dealing and staying so polite

Feel you. We have a lady who has had DT tantrums more than once because she doesn't want to wait in line for her order

Hard not to take that stuff personally.

I would’ve told him “place your order about 10 minutes before you arrive and you’ll have no trouble” as that’s what I always tell mobile orderers who complain
