They ended up getting a matcha water and said it was what they wanted and that they didn’t understand the confusion of asking for a matcha lemonade with no lemonade...

The dumbest moment I had like this was 3 years ago at my first store TLDR "grande in a tall please."

Karen: I would like a grande vanilla bean, but put it in a tall.

Me: You mean the larger one right the venti?

Karen: No the tall one.

Me: You talking about the Trente? The biggest cup we have.

Karen: No I would like my grande vanilla bean in a tall.

Me (genuinely confused at this point): Ma'am just so I get this right I don't mean to be rude. You're asking me to take a larger quantity of something and put it into just 1 smaller container? Not splitting them, cuz I can do that to.

Karen: I just want one drink.

Me: ....????

I mean, at least they aren’t ordering a cup of water with matcha in it expecting it to be under a dollar

I would have handed her a cup of ice with matcha scoops in it... because our lemonade is already mixed with water... so like... all that’s in there is lemonade and matcha... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

The other day we got and order for a hot chocolate, no mocha, no vanilla, no whip, no mocha drizzle. .........

I had somebody get mad at me when she said they wanted a mocha with no coffee, so i said “oh a hot chocolate then?” and it spiraled from there. Most days I don’t even try anymore.

i recently had to explain to a woman that her steamed milk with caramel drizzle was, in fact, the same thing as the latte with no espresso and caramel drizzle that she ordered.

she acted like i was the dumbest person alive until i told her that “ringing it up this way saved her money” and then she just looked at me with no lights on in the attic and walked away.

I recently had someone order a hot chocolate but with no chocolate. So I replied with “so a steamer?” And lord, he got all kinds of pissy with me. “No, I want a hot chocolate with no chocolate! I’ve ordered it a hundred times!” I eventually had my ssv come over and it turns out he wanted a white hot chocolate. People are idiots.

Had a customer request a peach green tea lemonade but just the peach - the peach is a syrup
I explained this and she was like yeah ill just have the peach. Wtf did she want just a cup with 4 scooshes of peach syrup???

What drives me crazy is the people who order an upside carmel macchiato. Why don't you just order a carmel latte. Either people are trying to sound more smarter than they are or they don't know what they are ordering.
