Starting Onboarding Soom (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by AishaTun
Hey everyone I’m new to the Reddit community and I’m starting Onboarding soon. What should I expect. I’m 16 and it’s my first job and how do I take advantage of the benefits listed on the website.

You don’t get benefits like medical etc til you’ve hit 240 hours within 90 days (or 20 hours/week). Same with the college help.

You get free drinks (depending on manager, mine allows one before shift, one during breaks, one for lunch and one after but others have said they get more, depends on your manager). You get 1 free food mark out per shift - protein boxes, paninis and pastry case are included in this.

so also I’m muslim and we’re forbidden to eat and sell pork and I want to tell the hiring manager I can’t deal/prepare it. Do you think they will still take me on?

I’m sure you’re not the first practicing Muslim the siren has brought onboard. I’m not sure how they would handle the situation since I’m new myself but I don’t *think* that would be an issue. However I’m not a manager or anything so I can’t say yes or no.

probably not very comparable but I have an allergy to bananas, for any order i just remind my partners and they're happy to step in for me to avoid contact.
