got scheduled on my birthday for a full 8.5 hour closing supervisor shift when i had the time off approved already. and i had dinner reservations with my 2 best friends and my family. for a shift not even at my store for another store in the district. now it’s “my responsibility” to find someone to cover and i’ve probably texted and called atleast 15 of the other supervisors in my district to help me cover this shift and every one says no they already work or they don’t want to work on a friday night. ugh. happy birthday to me i guess.

Bro get the proof you had it approved off and not go. They aren't allowed to schedule on an approved day off, and its definitely that store managers problem. Have you talked to your manager about?

Fuuuuuuck that. Your day off was approved. It’s the other store’s responsibility to find a closing SSV.

just call out? It’s not your problem that you were scheduled on a day you requested and got approved to be off for. it’s managements job for shitting on your plans and not taking the extra necessary steps to make sure all shifts are not only covered, but can also quickly be covered if and when someone calls out.
Honestly if it gets bad enough you could possibly talk to your DM about poor management.
