Too late to contact partner resources?
To make a long story short, my transgender girlfriend came out last year while she was working at the bux as an SSV. Everything was great, manager loved her until she came out. Shit started to spiral real fast. Things that didn’t happen were being said, and it all boiled down to the fact that she is transgender. Her manager proceeded to force her to either step down and transfer, or quit (she already had coverage for all of the shifts). She ended up quitting.
Well, she Fell into a depression and never called partner resources about it even though I begged her too. 8 months later she’s finally starting to come out of said depression and literally wishes she never came out because she wants to work at Starbucks because she loved the job and wants the health benefits. But of course, her previous manager marked her as ineligible for rehire. After all this time, would it even be worth it for her to call?
Has anybody ever had anything like this happen and seen it to be worth their while? To even try?
