I can definitely sympathize. I myself am by far the most cynical person at my store, and have to be very cautious how I express myself or I can quickly be isolated. But just remember why you're there. For me, I'm there to make money not friends. If I get along with everyone great, if not I don't give a fuck I'll just do my job and go home. This shitty job doesn't define me.

Normally yes, but if they don't try to learn to do the job properly then they're just in the way and they ain't funny anymore. Worse when that sense of humor turns to sass and a bad attitude, which is what happened with this individual.

Ah that sucks ): I was always known as the gruff one around my store (still working barista jobs just not Starbucks anymore) but i was like one of the only partners who could solo bar during the afternoon rush lol. Shame that they weren’t willing to put in the time :/
