I really wouldn’t recommend working outside what you’re scheduled to do. This company does NOT care about you, you will easily be replaced. If you give they will take. You are your priority, not Starbucks. It’s not worth it. Someone who is not you needs to get it together

This really depends on where you work. I feel taken care of at Starbucks.

True, but in the end, Starbucks is not your family. They’re a corporate entity. You don’t owe them anything outside what you agreed on paper to do. I get the pressure to help out your coworkers when shit happens, but I don’t like how responsible people feel for stuff that...is not their responsibility. It’s ok to say no and rest. A real family would understand.

Yeah. I covered today on my day off and then they asked me to stay even later. Said nope, dipped out right when I said I would and took a nap, lol. Don't feel bad in the slightest.

Yeah. If you don't want to stay then don't, especially if you're getting burnt out. Everyone has to run a tight shift sometimes, they'll survive without you.
