You shouldn’t be on CS during peak. I think it was a few months ago that GO mode became standard for all stores. Unless you all have like 8 ppl plays

1) I work in a small cafe store. 2) almost every time I come in at 8am, it’s guaranteed that I will be shoved on CS. 3) My shifts do this all the time, so as a barista just listening to my supervisors, I cannot do anything else. However, I do pop in when I’m needed. It’s usually on POS.

Yah I totally get that, my SM is just a nightmare for butting in when you don't need help. Like if I have too much I'll ask for help but It beefs me when she just forces her help upon me 😂

I never seem to know when it’s welcome and when it isn’t. I try to just help with hot drinks when someone’s slammed on cold bar or I’ll hop in and do mobiles if it’s getting crazy in the cafe. I really don’t want to annoy anyone but I know how it feels when you’re backed up and starting to panic a little so I try. 😅

I usually ask unless it’s obviously busy or there’s a specific reason I’m jumping in (like doing a remake or because drive thru times are up there).

I tend to use the ones that are going out soon. My store, people like to put old mills in the back for no reason. I’ve found maybe 3 expired milks for the last few months

When it’s not to help me on bar specifically... that’s when it bugs me. I love it when I get help on bar. It’s chaos usually when I’m at the point of needing help, so it’s nice.
